The Daltons are
a full time gospel group
from Somerset, Ky. They have been
singing and playing for over thirty year,
and
for the past twelve years as you
see them now. The group consist of
Randy who plays guitar, sing lead and
harmony,
his wife Kim who plays bass
sing high lead and harmony, Jeff who
plays the mandolin, sings lead and harmony.
The Daltons have worked with many of
the best in Bluegrass and Southern
Gospel music including: Carl Story,
Mac Wiseman, James Monroe, and
the legendary Bill Monroe.
and also in Southern Gospel such
groups as The
McCameys, The Bishops
The Dixie Melody Boys, The Primitives
just to name a few.
The ones that stand out the
most are
when the group worked for Bill Monroe
in the late 70's through early 80's
where they played
such venues as The
Grand Ole Opry, Bean Blossom, and other
major festivals all over the country.
Also working
for Carl Story in the mid 70's
when he took a boy all the way from
Nancy, Kentucky to Washington D.C. to
play for President Ford at the Bicentennial
Celebration in 1976.
As far as future plans for The Daltons, we
plan on singing for Jesus as long as he will
let us, if just one comes to know him because
of our music, It's Been Worth It All !!
